Govenaires Colorguard Seeks Summer Membership

The 2008 North Star Circuit Independent World Class Champion
Govenaries are currently seeking membership for their summer season.
The organization prides itself on maintaining high standards of excellence
in performance while maintaining an efficient approach to rehearsals and
scheduling. The colorguard for the 2008 season will be led by caption
head Molly Norton, as well as staff members Jeffrey Peterson and Rob

Seeking Weapon Instructor(s)

The Rochester Lourdes Color Guard is currently seeking a person or
persons who are interested in instructing in one of the following areas
for the 2008 Marching Season:
Weapon Choreographer: This person would be responsible for writing
the weapons equipment book for the fall show. Work would be taught
during color guard camp July 21 -25 2-9pm, but times would be
flexible. It is a possibility of setting aside one day or part of a day
to do all of the weapon work. The guard knows basic weapon technique
and is looking to advance skills. All of the guard will be spinning
rifle and experienced members have the option of spinning saber.
Weapons Technician: This person would be available to come to
Rochester 1-2 times this summer and work with the weapon line on
technique and skills. We are looking for a set of warm ups and
strengthening exercises to do with the weapons. Tosses and tricks would
also be taught by this person. Weapons experience ranges from
beginner to 4 years.
The Rochester Lourdes Color Guard is comprised of an average of 10 girls
each season. They are a competitive group that is very focused on
increasing their skill level. Pay for these positions are negotiable.
